PROJECT INFO: Modern House

LOCATION: Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire

A modern house with a garden over levels including a summerhouse, granite water sphere, stained sleeper steps and raised beds.

A decked terrace space leads to a secondary seating space and summerhouse. Sleepers stained black were used to build raised beds as well as create the steps between the upper and lower levels of the site.

A granite water sphere set in cobbles adds sound to the garden. A contemporary planting scheme using bamboo with the lower leaves removed to expose the coloured stems has been combined with grasses, perennials and bulbs.
