Courtyard Garden
PROJECT INFO: Georgian House
LOCATION: Aston Clinton, Buckinghamshire
This garden has everything! A stunning Georgian property with an attractive walled garden, perfect for a courtyard garden. A large multi-stem fig in the centre of the site was retained, with the design for the garden worked around this.
Raised beds wrap around a new terrace space incorporating a cantilevered timber bench and lots of plants.
A grid of paving slabs runs through the lawn connecting the existing herringbone brick terrace to a terrace underneath the studio. Garden lighting comprising spike lights in the planting beds and 'brick lights' within the walling add another dimension.
Diagonal trellis wires were placed on the walls for climbers, we included a grid of containers for herbs and finally a stainless steel water wall acts as a focal point and a bit of fun for the garden.
